GTIN number always filled with leading zeroes

Hello we are struggling currently with an issue about GTIN Number setup. The GTIN number is 13 digits long. D365 always fills it up to 14 digits. This leads to issues with our EDI order import logic, Can someone explain why it is filling up and probably how to avoid it.

    Can you explain more about "D365 always fills it up to 14 digits"? Can you share the barcode number setup and how barcodes are entered or generated in your environment? Can you provide an example probably supported with one or more screenshots?

    We had this problem a few years ago.  The problem is that Microsoft always saves the GTIN as 14 digits even if you are using a shorter length.  Hence the padding.  Microsoft state it adds it to the end, but we found it added it to the start too.
     
     
    Your only real option is to adjust your EDI logic to take this into account.
