Any Issues with SQL 2016 SP1 and Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016

This should a simple question with a simple answer.

Does anyone know if there any issues with upgrading the SQL 2016 servers supporting GP 2016 to MS SQL 2016 SP1? We are looking to upgrade the SQL 2016 Servers supporting our Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2 deployments to SQL 2016 SP1.

I have not found anything concerning SQL compatibility with GP 2016 other than base SQL 2016 as an option under system requirements for GP. I was hoping to find some compatibility matrix.

From what I've read so far concerning GP and SQL, the answer should be no problems.

Thanks

Same here. We are using SQL 2016 SP 1 with GP 2016 in our production environment with no issues.

    Hi Walt,

The Dynamics GP Utilites is only cheking the mainstream version of SQL server when doing the upgrades.. so using a SQL server with a service pack shouldn't affect the integrity of the system..

@ Beat - Thanks for the quick, concise answer with why it be safe and not affect the deployment. I also contacted Microsoft Premier Support, who verified that upgrading RTM to SP1 did not affect an instance the engineer had available.

I also appreciate the other swift responses from Leslie and Victoria.

Hopefully others with this question will be able to find this quickly and be able to move forward with a high comfort level.

    Thanks again all.
