Creating a record from a subgrid auto populates account lookup on the form on all lookup fields

Posted on by 390

Hi all,

so we have a subrid on Account entity where we list associated Opportunities. When creating a new opportunity the form auto populates the associated account in all account lookup fields on the opportunity form. Is this by design?

    Hi,

I was only asking you to delete mapping for fields which you don't need.

Yes, You can also write JS code to clear lookup field value when Form Type is Create.

    Hi Bipin,

thanks for your response, however we actually do need the account -> opportunity mapping which I guessed causes the problem. But my bet guess would be to just write some code to clear the field when its a new record to get around the problem.. :)

    Hi,

I don't think this is by design.

However, you can verify the Relationship mapping between Account and Opportunity to remove the mapping for other lookups which you don't need.
