How to keep data and storage clean?

I am looking for help/advice on what should I be taking into consideration on a monthly basis or however frequently to ensure logs, data, workflows, etc...are cleaned up on a monthly basis.

What do other people do or recommend?

Dear partner,

Here is what you can do to reduce used up storage space:

Delete old records, such as cases and opportunities

Remove unnecessary attachments (from emails and notes) through advanced find and bulk deletion

Delete audit logs

Remove suspended workflows you won't use again

Delete bulk import instances

Remove bulk duplicate detection jobs and bulk deletion job instances (strangely enough, those take-up space)

Beyond what Mohamed mentioned it really depends on what you specifically mean when you say "cleaned up" as there are multiple possible layers to that. If Mohamed's response didn't fully cover your particular meaning, please feel free to elaborate more and perhaps we can be of more help.
