Workflow to E-mail as Lead is Assigned

Really can't figure my issue out. Steps I followed, maybe someone can give me some guidance:

  1. Settings->Processes
  2. New (Name: Lead Assignment Notification, Category: Workflow, Entity: Lead)
  3. Settings as follows:
    1. Run this in the background
    2. Scope: Organization
    3. Start when: Record is assigned
  4. In the lower section it's set to "Send email" and I put some generic info in there to test.

When I review the process sessions, I'm not seeing it processing after assigning a lead to someone else or myself. Not sure what I may be missing here.

    Have you Activated the Workflow. If not please activate and try again.

    I do see same behavior in my online as well on premise version of the CRM ( 2013 and 2015) . I tried with background workflow as well real time workflow but it did not change the behavior.  It looks like a bug in the system post it in the microsoft connect.

    It works fine on MS CRM 2015, I just did it. May be you have selected- Auto-Delete when the workflow is completed

    Resolved issue with support. It ended up not being the workflow, but configurations as it pertains to e-mail setup.
