Hi All,

I am trying to upgrade the D365FO environment from service update 10.0.28 to 10.0.29 through the LCS. The upgrade process gets failed in the 'GlobalUpdate script for service model: RetailServer on machine' step. I also followed the steps to execute the 'DropAllRetailChannelDbObjects.sql' and also did a full DB sync. But the issue still exist. Please let me know if there is any work around for this error. Please find the error log below

    Hi

If retail is not being used, empty the script "UpdateRetailChannelDatabase.ps1" and retry the steps and it will succeed.

Else, please log a ticket with Microsoft.

    Hi,

If the error is still relevant after executing the 'DropAllRetailChannelDbObjects.sql', I would suggest to navigate to the following folder:

    Documents\RetailChannelDatabaseLogs\YYYY-MM-DD_hh-mm-ss\AxDB

    pastedimage1668720710531v1.png

Then grab the sql script named CommerceRuntimeScripts_9.28.21084.13_9.32.21271.2.sql and open it on SSMS.

After executing that script, the following error will be displayed:

    Msg 155, Level 15, State 1, Line 42
'OPTIMIZE_FOR_SEQUENTIAL_KEY' is not a recognized ALTER TABLE option.

It means that keyword ('OPTIMIZE_FOR_SEQUENTIAL_KEY') is not compatible with the current version of the SQL server.

So as solution, remove that keyword from the sql script and save it.
