Hi all,
I just googled all around and didn´t find a solution for my problem:
Problem: I cannot assign a Lead from user X to user Y. (no one of those users is me!)
What happens: I select leads, click assign, select the user to assign, crm refreshes (does like he would do what i expect it to do...) ... and.... TaDa...! nothing happens, everything like before :(
I managed the security roles and let the users X and Y do everything with leads. Also with other entitys. So as I read in different Forums, security roles shouldn´t be a problem for assigning a lead.
What am I doing wrong?!
Thanks a lot!

When I try bulk edit a number of records, the Owner lookup is greyed out so I can't change it
Investigating plugins...
You dont have any plugin or workflow that could revert your changes do you?
It might also be worth doing a bulk edit of owner from Advance Find results just to make sure no JS triggers
I've tried that but the same thing happens.
If i change the owner on the form, it reverts back straigh away - as if updated by a javascript onchange - but I've been through all the js and can see nothing doing this.
Also doesn't work if I use the "assign to" option from the toolbar
Hi
It might be worth signing in as different sys admin user account and try and do this assigning and see if it fails.
I am having the same problem at the moment with CRM 2011 on premise after a recent install of Update rollup 18 - has anyone any suggestions? Would reinstalling rollup 18 be a solution as it was with rollup 13?
Have you tried looking at Process sessions in advanced find to see if workflows are failing? If it is a workflow failing and you select it they often give really useful detail...
I am having the same problem, on all entities. I am sys admin and cannot reassign ownership. It started happening after our recent update, Security Update 3.2 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 On Premise 7.0 7.0.3.144. We are on premise 2015.
I know this is an older post but I had the same problem today.
For me it had to do with the leads not having a last name and topic filled in. Without data in the required fields I was unable to assign them.
This was caused because my leads were imported.
I have the same issue. I'm using Dynamics 365 Online - out of the box configuration. I highlight the imported Lead and click Assign to another user, but the user it was assigned to can't find it. Where does it go? I don't get an error when assigning it either.
I checked permissions and they seem in order. Perhaps someone can clarify what User Role is necessary for starters?
