Does anyone know the best methods for monitoring the use of a Dynamics 365 Portal (e.g. when users have logged into it - who these users are?) I know azure app insights can work but not sure if this shows who your users are?
Enables or disables tracking the user’s last sign-in. When set to true, the date and time are displayed in the Last Successful Sign-in field on the contact record. By default, this is set to false.
On change of "Last Successful Sign-in" field, you can run a workflow to create a custom activity. This will help you to keep track of contacts log-in to the portal
