DynNav 2017 licences

We have a Dynamics NAV deployment, and need your urgent assistance. We have the following licence for Dynamics NAV :

****************************************************************************
Name Amount
----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------
350 Starter Pack 1
450 Full Concurrent User CAL 38
8100 Codeunits (each) 10
Country Code: W1 1

****************************************************************************

We are told by implementation partner that some additional objects are needed for some further customization. We have payed the requested objects (as per invoice they provided). Now we are beeing told by the partner we can not activate/use the required objects because we need to enter/pay BREP agreement, since without one no additional objects can be purchased. This simply does not make sense. Please advise.

    Sorry for the late answer.

No, to my knowledge you cannot purchase anything when you do not have a active BREP.

    Hi Gert,

Thanks a lot for the clarification. Could we purchase extended pack? (and get additional 10 tables etc) Or this is not an option?

    Hi Uros,

It is unfortunately correct that you cannot add anything to your NAV License if you do not have an active BREP..

The partner should not have sold you the license add-on for the extra objects, so I guess your can demand a credit note and your money back. They could easily have checked your BREP status before selling you the license add-on in question and it is simply not possible for them to add anything to your license when you do not have a active BREP.

I strongly advise you to re-enter into BREP as it will also allow you to get updates/bugfixes to your NAV and allow you to upgrade to new NAV and/or Business Central versions in the future.

Note: Another option might be to change to a Subscription license, but that will require you to rent your NAV license so your existing investment might be lost (but it might be a cheaper short term option)
