Configuration Implementation Template

Posted on by 2
Anyone aware if there is a standard configuration template for D365?

What I'm looking for is a list of all the items that requires configuration and the sequence of the configuration especially where there are dependencies.

A Configuration Implementation Template helps standardize and streamline the setup of systems or software. It provides a structured approach to ensure consistency and efficiency. For a smoother implementation process, check out our promotional products, which include customizable templates and implementation guides tailored to various systems. These resources will assist you in applying best practices, reducing errors, and achieving a successful configuration implementation in your organization.

You still haven't told us which D365 product you want to configure (e.g. Dynamics 365 Business Central).

But in any case, I don't think that your approach to the configuration is correct and can succeed. These products are very complex and the configuration depends on what a particular custom needs, therefore there isn't a single universal way how to configure them.

I'm looking for something that incorporates all the modules... If that is not available then I can do with each module separately...

First of all, which of the D365 product do you have in mind? You can't expect a single configuration template for completely different products. Also, many of them have dozens of modules and thousand of tables, while no customer use all the features (some are even mutually exclusive). Therefore you need to think about what you want to configure, e.g. if you need manufacturing or project management in an ERP.
