Tracking of the CRM usage (on premise, Version 1612 (8.2.5.4))

Dear Community

At our company we are using CRM on premise (Microsoft Dynamics 365-Version 1612 (8.2.5.4)). We would like to analyze the usage of separate modules/entities (e.g. number of opens). Is there any possibility to do this considering that we are working with an on-premise-system? So far I've only found the User Adoption Monitor app but I was wondering if any other option is available.

    Hey, thanks for this question.

    There is no Insights for OnPremise environments, however you could use SQL reports to extract some information. Something similar to this: docs.microsoft.com/.../performance-dashboard

    The User Adoption Monitor (community.dynamics.com/.../activate-user-adoption-monitor-supports-both-microsoft-dynamics-365-crm-online-as-well-as-on-premises) still would be your best option here, however other tools could be explored like Power BI and SLQ Nexus:

    social.technet.microsoft.com/.../51981.sql-server-working-with-sql-nexus.aspx

    IIS Logs also could hep you extract information about user access for example.
