Credit shows as additional charge on Store Operations Statement

A student was charged for a transaction twice, so the user went back and added a return. When a statement is printed for this account the return shows as another charge.

Has anybody seen this before? And if so, how was this resolved?

They credited the account (did not void the transaction, it looks like an alternative option would have been to credit the store account instead of the student account). The student's account shows this as a credit, but the statement shows this as a second charge. Oddly enough, the user let me know that this worked on another account, so I'm thinking that this is either a bug or different steps were taken.

Steps taken:

1. Pull up the student name/id

2. Press ctrl F4 and input the item for a credit.

RMS Version: 2.0.0105

Windows Version: Windows 7

Did they post the return as a voided transaction? or did they simply credit the account?

need teh steps they took to see if there is a bug.

Also which version of SO is being used. i.e. 2.0.2000
