Financial statement - Excel is throwing errors

I am trying to run a financial statement and it keep throwing an error. I have installed office addins and office 365 (2016). Anyone see this issue before?

Is it the wrong version of office?

Hi Ryan,

Which exact version of Dynamics AX 2012 are you using? Did you also try to open the file with an older version of Microsoft Excel?

I am using AX 2012 R3 CU12. No I did not use an older version.

Could you please elaborate a bit, how you triggered the export to excel? (From AX or from Excel?)

And, when do you get this error message? My gut feeling is, this error may not be connected to AX at all.

This might sound weird, but could you try to generate it to screen first, and then save as excel?

(We might find an answer here.)
