Export Error Rows function exports blank file - Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011

Hello Everyone,

I am experiencing an issue with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, as I import a file in the system (to map certain custom entities) and sometimes there are errors that didn't go through with the import (i.e. look-up reference was not resolved, etc.). I then attempt to export the rows with errors in order to correct/add elements and import those errors again, using the standard Export Error Rows functionality.

Although the process is straightforward and was properly functioning until recently, an issue occurred - the file that is being generated from the Export of Error Rows in now an empty one. The rows with errors that are supposed to be exported are not in the file, but only the column headings exist.

The error rows are visible in the Failures section of the Imported source file. When we make an SQL Query in the SSMS, we do see all the rows with errors, containing all the data. It is just the export error rows function that doesn't work, but is an essential one with regards to the solution.

Just to note, all other types of data export function accordingly. This issue occurred out of a sudden.

Has anyone experienced similar issue? Could someone add an input, please?

Looking forward for your feedback.

Best Regards,

Marinella

    Hello Marinella,

Before you import the file and look into the errors I will suggest you for the entities you want the records to be imported , either you Download the templates such that you will not receive the message of passing. or you can download the template from CRM and you can try to re-import the files .

Please let me know if you facing any issues,

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hello Gayatri,

Thank you for your response, but my issue is that I cannot export the errors. Despite whether I use the template or an xml file, the issue is the same.

Basically, I import a file. Some rows are successful and go to their designated places. And there are some Errors. These errors cannot be exported, as the file that is supposed to contain the Error Rows comes out empty/blank.

I look forward to your insights.

    Best Regards,

    Marinella

If someone experiences such an issue in order to solve it, check the registry key TurnOffFetchThrottling setting. The value should be set at 0. Then restart and it should work properly after.

    Best Regards,

    Marinella
