Year end update-Upgrade these companies-"Company is being updated by another user"

After running the GP Uilities, I got to the "Upgrade these companies" screen and it doesn't allow me to select any companies to upgrade.  It says "Company is being updated by another user".  Can I restart the process? if so, how can I do this or how can I resolve this issue?

    Hi Meredith,

    I have seen something similar when I was juggling several client updates simultaneously. Can you cancel out of the upgrade window and relaunch utilities? Does it still show that it is being updated by another user after relaunching?

    I was able to resolve this with the help from our MS partner. They told me to execute a select statement of duLCK and then a delete statement of duLCK after finding a list of the companies that were "stuck".  This seemed to work for me.

    MS support also sent me the following instructions (which i did not try), but looks like the same thing:

    1. Make sure there isn't any Dynamics GP Utilities open for any databases at all and no users are logged into Dynamics GP at all.

    2. Run these scripts against the DYNAMICS/system database:

               Delete duLCK

                Delete ACTIVITY

    3. Launch Dynamics GP 2015 Utilities again and it should allow you to continue with the year-end update as expected.
