Hi, we currently have an installation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 v8.2, the database is SQL Server 2014 SP2. Now, for some reasons related to another application, we may need to update to SQL Server 2014 SP3. Since the compatibility list for Dynamics 365 v8.2 doesn't include SQL Server 2014 SP3 (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/deploy/software-requirements-for-microsoft-dynamics-365-server) I wasn't totally confident in doing the upgrade.
Does anyone tried that or has knowledge about possible incompatibilities?
Regards
Simone
Hello Simone,
Dynamics 365 8.2 is compatible and require minimal SQL 2014 SP2 version.
Yes SQL Server 2014 SP3 is compatible with Dynamics 365 8.2

support.microsoft.com/.../compatibility-with-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2016
Please consider the best practices while upgrading the Dynamics 365 Server and always take a full backup of the Dynamics 365 databases.

Hope this helps.
