Change Feed is lost in Data lake when there is a change in the D365 table schema

Hello All

I am fairly new to working with D365. I am facing an issue where i needed some suggestions/pointers. We have enabled the change feed for some of our D365 tables. But when ever there is a change in D365 schema, the entire change feed that we have received is deleted and only the newer schema files are available. Has anyone encountered this issue? any idea on how to address this issue.
