Redirect user to form with appId

Hi

I recently enabled customization of the opportuntity close which works well within my app. However if a user stumbles onto an opportunity using the right form, but with the appId missing from the URL, the old opportunity close pop-up is shown. I'm trying to work out how to redirect the user to the same form but with the appid included in the URL to avoid the old pop-up (unless there's a sure-fire way to kill it universally!). I guess it can somehow be done with javascript but I'm a complete novice with javascript.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Steven

    Hi partner,

    Could you provide some screenshots?

This will help us understand your problem better.

    Here are some screenshots -

Opportunity close with appid in the URL:

Opportunity close without appid in the URL:

I'd like to prevent a user from using the form without an appid, in order to prevent the using the old pop-up for opportunity close, either by only allowing them to access with an appid, or redirecting them automatically to a URL with the appid if they open the form with it missing.

    Hi partner,

    Please check one thing.

Go to Settings > My Apps, is there an App called 'Sales'? (Not Sales Hub)

No, there is no app called Sales

    Hi partner,

In this case, there is no OOB way to do it.

You have to train your organization members to prohibit URL modification.

Most of the latest features now only support Sales Hub instead of Sales. If the user modifies the URL and switches to Sales, then not only the opportunity close form feature, other features will also be invaild, including new features in the future.

Also, I would recommend you share this idea with Microsoft.
