Hi I'm trying to fetch the name of the customer; when creating a customer. I use this.name() inside the validateWrite() method in CustTable; but when I tried to show it in infolog, the infolog is empty when I'm creating a new customer.  Any Idea how to fetch the name when I create a new customer and show it in infolog ? Thanks in advance :)

    Hi Tristanpal,

If you creating new customer means once you click save and close  button  complete then only record save to Custtable but you trying before save the record because validate write method trigger before so record not created in Custtable that's why info showing empty.

Ahhh that make sense ... the form for creating customer is DirPartyQuickCreateForm ... do you have any idea on where should I put my codes ? Thanks :)

That depends why do you need this for. If you need to have name() method return proper value - your code needs to be called after super() in either insert() or update() method in CustTable - or after super() in write() method on form's datasource. That's the point where all records and fields are in place.

I believe you need to give us bit more details about your requirements to make it possible to help you better with this case.
