Auto-notification of changes to an account

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I am new to Dynamics and wondered if there was a way to get notified (as the account manager) when there was a an update to an account (added project, changes to existing project, notes added, etc).

Thanks.

James

    Hi Daddystarbux98,

You should be able to "Follow" the account within Dynamics 365 which you can do from any of the entity's views by selecting the records to follow or by going into the record itself and following.

Here is an article that provides more details, based on 2013 but functionality is similar still:

If you are looking for more than this (i.e. email messages) you could utilize Flow, see article here that provides some details on how to leverage this:

    community.dynamics.com/.../microsoft-flow-and-dynamics-365

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
