Electronic signature on Customer invoice document in F&O

Hi,

We need to know if it’s possible to sing electronically pdf documents like customer invoices at Dynamics 365 F&O. There’s an option but we don’t really know if it works like the SII electronic reporting sing.

This is what we have found. But not sure what to do in this scenario

Hello Talent,

There seems no out of the box feature available.

At least I cannot find something on MS docs here:

docs.microsoft.com/.../spain

For that reason, it might be a good idea getting into contact with a local partner / consultant.

They usually have small enhancements that cover these things.

Hi Talent,

Did you check the below MS Docs on electronic signature:

docs.microsoft.com/.../electronic-signature-overview

Goto Organization administration > Setup > Electronic signature > Electronic signature requirements.

I can see by default, the electronic signature created for following manufacturing processes:

Approve route

Approve route version

Activate route version

Approve bill of materials (BOM)

Approve BOM version

Activate BOM version

Release production order

Report production order as finished

But You can also set up a custom electronic signature requirement for a table or field in D365 finance and operations.

Hi Junaid,

The D365FO electronic signature feature is something different and not related to electronic signatures that you need for creating external customer invoices.

Same name but completely different business process and requirement.

Hi Ludwig,

I was testing the same feature and Yes You're right, I didn't get that result what i was expecting.

Don't you think we should create an idea with Microsoft to simply electronic signature process.

Even though i personally think, With an electronic signature there is no document security and it doesn't have document verification process.

Hi Talent,

The same question has been asked recently on this forum. You can have a look at output management solutions like Dox42 and Lasernet which do offer this capability and have out of the box integrations with Dynamics 365 F&O.

There is no such functionality in D365FO. But there are very good third-party solutions!

Hi Andre,

Yes that is what I was also following. But then I saw that I am able to run am embedded custom power app from HR ESS workspace with HR self service license.. Probably it is allowing because I have embedded the same within HR application. But it did not allow to run as stand alone app though.
