Hi All,

We are creating Quality order using Purchase order in AX 2009

For ex: I have 3 item added under quality association (parameter - posting "before" packing slip).

In PO, I have added 4 item( 3 Quality association items & 1 item is not added under Quality association).

Expected result : Quality order should be created for 3 items and packing slip is created for 1 item in PO

Actual Result : Quality order is created for 3 item & Packing slip also created for all 4 items.

How to resolve it technically? any help here?

Hi AXDeveloper,

The selection event refers to when the creation of a quality order is triggered. This does not prevent the event from happening.

You can set Event blocking as receipt list in quality order process tab if you want block the receipt list for the item in inspection.

Hi AXDeveloper,

It means if you want to achieve the case that just quality order is created for 3 items but no receipt list for them. You can make use of the Event blocking feature in the quality association, which makes the selected document process (such as receipt list, product receipt or invoice) on hold. And when the quality order is closed, you can execute the relevant process again.

In AX 2009, I'm unable to find Event blocking option In the Quality association . could you please guide me here?

Hi AXDeveloper,

Sorry, I don't have the environment of Ax 2009. I thought it was the same in other environments. If you can’t find it in Ax 2009, it may be a new feature in later versions.

Yes. I agree with your point. I've verified both AX 2009 & AX 2012.

I can find the Event blocking feature in the quality association in ax 2012 but not in ax 2009.
