Microsoft Forecaster 7.0 Installation

HiGuys,

I'm trying to setup Microsoft Forcaster for a clients GP 2010R2 setup. Everytime I go run the install for forecaster (on the GP2010R2 Server) i get this error when it tries to install SQL Native Client and SQL MOC

“This Microsoft SQL Server Native Client package is not supported on the current processor type”

The Servers are running in HyperV on a Server 2008 R2 Ent x64 machine.

GP Server:

- OS: Server 2008R2 Ent x64

- GP 2010 R2

- Office 2010 Pro Plus

SQL Server:

- OS: Server 2008R2 Ent x64

- MS SQL 2008 R2 Processor Licence x64

- SharePoint 2010 Ent.

- Business Portal 5.1

Any help on this would be great. I tried talking to another Microsoft Partner and they never run into this situation.

Adam,

Forecaster 7 supports 64-bit, but we don't bundle the prerequisites need for 64-bit servers. Check out the second half of this article for links to the correct bits. Once you install those bits the install should run fine.
