Positive Pay format, remove comma from payee name

I have created a CSV positive pay format, it works except for one thing. Several of the vendors have a comma in their name, and this creates an additional field in the export.

For example: ABC, LLC or Acme, Inc. this comma in the name create an extra field because the file type is Comma separated values.

I have tried to use a transformation rule to replace the comma with blank or even tried to replace with a semicolon.

It works when I test the text in the rule, but when I use the rule in the format, it removes the vendor name all together. In fact it removes all of the payee names, not just the ones with commas.

Does anyone know how I can get this to work?

Than you for your suggestions.

Are you using the data exchange framework to export the data or is the export something you have written i AL?

And a replace rule with , and just blank did not do it?

That was the first thing I tried. It blanks the whole name, even it there is not a comma.

And you have tried both versions of the replace rule.

    Replace and regular expression replace?

The test shows the same result for both but maybe it makes a difference in the end result?

I have not tried the regular expression on this issue. I did when I was trying to replace the void indicator "V" with "370" which was what the bank wanted on voided checks. Unfortunately I got the same results. it worked in the test on the rule, but when you run the PP it removed the whole field.

Hi, Just to add some info, I tried Custom Transformation Rules before when testing exchange rates service, if the standard doesn't do what you want, give it a try.

    Hope this also helps.

    Thanks.
