Defining the Product in PIM

Hi

While defining the product in PIM module, what is the use of categories and Attributes for a Manufactured product (default order setting is production)

The attributes and assigned via Procurement management module and why a Manufactured product go thru that procedure.

If Categories and attributes are used for Purchase products only, then there is a logic in its classification

But for a Manufactured product why the system is allowing to define Category and Attributes.

Please help me get the grip of this concept of categories and Attributes for a product

    Hi Vivek,

    The default order type does not mean the unique order type.

    The product attributes can be defined in procurement category and Commerce related hierarchy(Commerce product hierarchy,Supplemental product categories and Channel navigation categories).
