Fixed Assets Integration - integrate assets to all books

I am using GP 9 and have an integration manager integration with a destination of Asset General Information. This integration reads from one source file which contains all asset information but does not contain any Book ID data.

Is there any way to configure the integration to integrate each asset into all existing books without listing any book ID in the source?

That's another option.  Depending on how many assets you have to import, you may have to import them in two or more separate files.  If that's the case, it may be just as easy to import a large number of assets using IM and then run one mail-merge macro to add the book info.  Either way, I'm sure you'll get it done :)

Frank, thanks for your reponse. I read in the fixed asset manual that you can automatically add book info for assets when using the Fixed Asset Import / Export tool. I was hoping that the same could be done in Integration Manager, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I think we will try using the Fixed Asset Import/Export tool instead of Integration Manager for this.

I don't think so Greg because assigning the books to assets is a separate operation in GP.  You would need a separate integration to do so.

You could use a macro to do the books assignment after the asset general data is integrated.
