Hi,

I have an employee how has submitted and approved the leave request I human resource.
The same employee I added as a resource for the project management and accounting, while selecting the resource he is available to book in the project where as the leave is already recorded in the system.
Can anyone tell me what the missing configuration here is and am I expecting correctly in the system that it should not be booked for the leaves days.

Hi,

You can specify the leave unit (hours or days) and enable the "Hide leave balance" option for the specific leave type. After the Hide leave balance option is enabled for a leave type, employees of the organization won't be able to see the leave balance for that leave type.

Hi Judy,

Thanks for your reply, No! this is not my ask, I have query when ever we create any employee in HR and also we submit the leave request and request time off with the same employee so that system should know user is not available in those days.

but after submitting the leave request employee still available to book for project management and accounting to assign work.

Do you have any idea how can we stop the same resource for booking so that no one can book the same resource.

Thanks for your kindly reply.

Have you tried to create a workflow to manage leave and absence requests consistently. The workflow can include conditional statements, automatic actions, and approval processes based on various data elements such as leave type, reason code, and submitted by roles.

By configuring the workflow, maybe you can ensure that the resource is not available for booking when an employee has submitted a leave request.

Thanks for your reply, my time off request and leave of absence both are approved for the next month of 2nd week (13-Feb-2024 to 23-Feb-2024).

But still the resource can be booked for the project. Please tell what is reason why user is available for booking.?
