AX2012 product configurator attribute order and list values

Hello All,

I'm new in the forum so first of all couple words about my (short) experience about AX. I'm working as a system specialist in a global company and am in charge of product configurators. Last 1,5 years I've been working with product builder in our current AX4.0 and since we started a version change to AX2012 I will update all our configurators into the new product configurator.

So I'm currently more or less getting familiar with the new configurator and have faced couple issues which I haven't been able to solve nor find information about.

-The first (irritating) issue is order of attributes in user interface. I haven't found a way to order attributes in user interface. The latest added attribute will always be in the bottom of UI, no matter at which point it's in the attribute list of product configurator builder. In user interface selection it's seems to be possible to only arrange attribute groups not single attributes. Is there any way to rearrange single attributes (except removing all attributes and then creating them again in the correct order)?

-The second issue is about the fixed list values. If I use some conditions to list possible values in a list attribute the restricted values are shown with the red restriction mark before them. Is there a way or setup to hide those restricted values dynamically so that only allowed values would be shown?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. Does anyone know if there are good classes or books about AX2012 product configurator?

BR,

Konsta

    Hello Rosa,

So far I've found out the following:

-It seems that the only possibility to arrange order of attributes is to create a attribute group where you then insert the attributes. Not the smoothest solution but it seems that at the moment there are no other options for this.

-For hiding the list values I've not found any solution. I also had a discussion with some other users and their result seems to be the same, no option to hide those values.

    Hope this helps you forward.

    BR,

    Konsta
