Showing Case Stage in Views

I am trying to create a view that will display the current stage of a case. I assumed that the "Case Stage" field was being auto-populated with this information but it seems that it is an option set with only "Default Value" in it. My question is, what is the best way to handle this? Do I have to manually update the case stage field using jscript or is there some hidden mechanism for auto-populating that field when the case changes that I can take advantage of? The case stage is an important part of our workflow.

Hi Five, the Stage category is different to the category your referring to. If you want to update the Stage category for the case, or show it in a view on your case you will need to

Create a workflow to populate your Optionset ( you will have to add the corresponding stages to your optionset) when the StageID or the ProcessID of the Process Flow changes.

I hope you find this easy to do, Kindly Verify :)

    Best Wishes, Raz

Turns out I could add it to the grid via the relationship to the process but it isn't as clean so I implemented my own field that updates from the process stages as the article Mohit referenced suggested. Thanks!
