Licensing Question - Customer Voice 365

Hi,

I have a question regarding everyone favourite topic... Licensing!

Now I know originally within Forms Pro you had a Forms Administrators who had access to the Forms Pro main area but then you also had the ability to connect that up to CDS for other users to access who had a standard dynamics or powerapps license for them to review. Is this the case still? I am having an issue with a user who has a dynamics license and cant review the content of what has been submitted into CDS via the Survey I have created. Am I missing something with this as they shouldnt require a Customer Voice license to access the content in a Model Driven App or should they?

Thanks,

Matt

Hey! Glad to be of help - thanks for letting us know!

Regarding the connection issue, I suspect it must have been transient. Can you please try again &  confirm?

    Regards,

    Usha

Brilliant and thanks to you both that worked. My final question is in regards to creating a custom invitation link. I follow the steps as required through flow (Manual trigger from Contact record) and I get a connection issue. Has anyone experienced this before?

    Hi Matt,

Can you try sharing your project/survey  with the CDS user? That will enable them to view the responses in CDS

In order to view the Customer Voice entities in CDS, the user needs to have CDS permissions. If they have a Customer Voice license - then a project owner role is automatically assigned to him/her - which gives access to the data that the user created in the application.

By default, if the user has just CDS permissions, then explicitly sharing specific projects helps the CDS user to view the data associated with that particular project.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,

    Usha

RE: Licensing Question - Customer Voice 365

    Hi Matt,

Licensing model is the same between Forms Pro and Customer Voice. If your organization has qualified Dynamics 365 enterprise licenses, then your organization is entitled for 2000 survey responses/months. Any Dynamics 365 enterprise users will have access to the Forms Pro/Customer Voice to create/send surveys. Admin can grant access to other (non Dynamics 365) users by assigning Customer Voice User License (USL).

As far as permission, survey owner will own the survey records in CDS. You must explicitly share  in CDS for other users to access.
