Create An Index on Entity

I would like to enforce uniqueness on an Entity using a Field that is a string in combination with a field that is an optionset. When I go to the 'Keys' -> 'New' section I only see the a string field as an available attribute. Is it possible to enforce in this way or is there another way inside CRM to accomplish this

As a workaround - check second part of my reply. There is the only workaround I see.

Thanks for the reply Andrew! Thats pretty much what I gathered from the documentation. Is there a workaround for this? I was thinking something like creating a field that is somehow mapped to the optionset value.

Something else Im not thinking of? I really dont know the ins and outs of Dynamics. Thanks again!

    Hello,

I'm afraid that string, whole number and decimal are only valid fields for usage as alternative key - msdn.microsoft.com/.../dn932139.aspx

What you can do - you can create hidden field and populate it with optionset's label and use that combination of 2 fields as alternative key.
