We are planning to buy and install Dynamics AX, and also we are planning to buy Dynamics CRM, but someone told me that CRM engine is already in the AX installation, so we will just need to buy the user licenses.
I hope someone can tell me if this is true.

This is not true.
While Microsoft Dynamics AX includes a CRM module, Dynamics CRM is something altogether different.
Dynamics CRM is a separate and stand-alone software package. The below is a link to the MIcrosoft Dynamics CRM site.
Dynamics CRM and AX CRM are two different offerings. If you need some help distinguishing between the two, or maybe a demo of AX CRM, please let me know.
