Dynamics GP2016 - An error occured while loading or initializing addin.

Hi All,

Having the below error which I think is to do with Human Resources module. I have tried repairing the installation, added HR module removed HR module, manually added the dll for HRDocAttach into the folders but still cannot get into GP2016 after upgrading from GP2010 --> GP2013 --> GP2016. I have had a fair few problems with the HR module so I did not add in the module for HR whilst at the GP2010 stage where I upgraded GP2010 to the latest version first before going to GP2013 so not sure if this is the problem from that. Anyway to get past these errors to then upgrade to GP2018?

Looks like you have some offensive dll's in your addins folder.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP\AddIns

    Stat by removing all except

    Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.PreviewPane.dll

Backup the addins folder first before removing any files.

    Hi Richard,

Tried that but still getting the same error messages unfortunately. Any other things I could try?

    Thanks,

    Andrew

I found this as someone else had the same problem.

Are you on the server? I would try completely uninstalling GP 2016, deleting the program folder and reinstalling. This time install without HR. If it works but you need HR install HR,then install HR with Advanced PR if you need those modules.

Seems as it was the shared dexterity components which was the problem how bizarre! Thanks for the link to the thread
