Hello,

I am new to Dynamics CRM, I created an online ID to connect to CRM. Now I am trying to connect to CRM via Unified Service Desk. While login I get this error :

"Unified Service Desk solution not installed on the selected CRM organization: " with my Organization name that I have given in my profile while creating my online ID under Office365.

I would really appreciate if you could help me figure out why I am getting that error.

    Hi Harry

You need to deploy the USD solution via the CRM Package Deployer first, see topic below.

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn646924.aspx

You can download it as well as the new version of the client here.

Try looking at this post. (You will also find others on my blog as well.)

    neilparkhurst.com/.../usd-how-to-install-a-crm2015-version-of-usd

The notes I have given you actually refer to CRM2015 BUT the process is pretty much unchanged.

When you install USD you need to install a couple of solutions in your CRM organization first. Or alternatively use the package deployer which will install a sample USD solution.

You then install the client and connect to your USD organization.

If you are new to USD and working in a development / trial environment I would start with the package deployer and install one of the sample packages. The base package should be fine to get you started.

    Hope this helps.
