Hi,

I am new to Dynamics so sorry if this is a very basic question!

I cannot see the Recently Viewed Items button on the navigation bar. I do see the recently viewed items under an entity such as accounts though.

I checked the forum and found some posts regarding the User Entity UI Settings which I followed but that didn't help.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

You cannot locate it or its not visible

It's not visible. It should be located next to the Quick Create button I believe.

    Hi,

Please make sure you are also using a supported browser.  I have had weird things like this happen when using unsupported browsers like Edge.  Prashant has a great thing to check on the zoom.  I usually have customers lose view of the search field if they are zoomed in, not the recent items but it could happen.

    Thanks,

If you are not able to see recently items, then try below:

    1. Restore your browser window from maximized mode and again maximize the same.

Also, check if name field of your record has more characters. This is known issue in CRM later 2015 update 1 and is considered as minor issue and hence MS did not provide any updates on whether it will be fixed or not.

Hi, I'm really struggling to attach a screenshot. When I select to use rich formatting the system expects me to enter a description but there is no field for description!

I am writing about the button in the navigation bar that looks like a clock. If I select Sales then Accounts, for example, I do see the list of recently viewed accounts. I was expecting an icon on my navigation bar that looks like a clock and if I click it I would see a list of recent Views and Recent Records,

The clock icon is not in my navigation bar. As I cannot attach a screenshot I know this is difficult to explain. It is on page 18 of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM User Guide pdf if you have a copy of that - www.microsoft.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-crm-user-guides.aspx.

    I am using Microsoft Explorer.

Have you tried the options suggested by everyone here?

    Hi,

I believe so. I have zoomed my browser in and out, I have maximised, minimised etc, but the button is not displayed in the navigation bar. This does not look like an issue with the browser to me though as I can see the quick create icon, the search field, the advanced find icon, my user details, the settings icon and the help icon.

Not sure about this suggestion though - Also, check if name field of your record has more characters. As I do not know what that means.

    Thanks

I would suggest you to raise a ticket to Microsoft if none of the solutions above have worked.

So you don't believe that there is a simple way of configuring the navigation bar to toggle functionality on and off? That's what I was hoping for!
