CRM Online connect to SQL server on mac

I want to export more than 100,000 records connected to various custom tables within Dynamics and I believe the only way i can do this by joining the various tables within SQL and exporting this way.

I have managed to connect SQL server using a windows machine, however I now have a MAC and want to set up SQL server, I have looked online and it suggest to use Azure Data Studio.

Has anyone managed to get this working?
