Hello,

After upgrading to 2018R2, I keep getting these error messages when clicking on a transaction window.

-A get/change operation on table 'SY_Posting_Journal_Settings' failed accessing SQL data.

The more info button produces this: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server] Invalid column name 'TRXPostingThruGL'.

Then when i get into the window and click on a lookup I get this other message below:

-A get/change operation on table 'Batch_Headers' failed accessing SQL data.

The more info button produces this: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server] Invalid column name 'UseLastDayofMonth'

Please help!

Strange is - the errors are only on the production company. Not on the test company. The test company is a copy of the live company as of GP2018 which is before the upgrade to GP2018R2 was done.

These errors point to a table missing columns it should have, that the procedure is looking for but not finding.

The best way to determine exactly would be to run a dexsql..log of the error message, to see what script or procedure is causing 'invalid column name' message, then look at that procedure to see what table(s) it is looking in for the column in the error.

From what I can determine, in GP 2018 R2, the SY02300 table has this 'TRXPostingThruGL' column in it, per company database, and the 'UseLastDayofMonth' column is found in the SY00500 table, per company database.

As the SY02300 is the 'Posting Settings' table and SY00500 is the 'Posting Definitions Master' table, it would make sense you're seeing these errors when clicking transaction windows, if these columns are missing from these tables.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks
