PO Creation Errors

My users are trying to create Purchase Orders. The PO starts as a purchase req and should convert to a PO when its approved. Instead, I get this error and a red X by the line items. Help is appreciated.

Good morning,

I assume you are using the workflow for the purchase requisition process and you are using AX2012?

If you open the AOT you can find a table called 'PurchReqLineProcessingError'. This table contains all errors from the workflow when the purchase order is automatically created. The link if on the PurchReqLine field (to the purchReqLine.RecId).

Alternatively, in the client you have a menu option 'Release approved purchase requisitions' in the procurement and sourcing module (Common > Purchase Requisitions). There you can try to create a purchase order manually, which might give you some more feedback.

As you know that we have the lot of documents / journals in AX 2012 , which required the approvals . The above mentioned table contain the error for only PR work flow errors or does to contain the all the workflow errors like Purhcase order , Vendor invoice journal , vendor payment journal , Sales order ...

If not , what about the other workflow error tables for other documents/ Journals ?

Please clarify me .

I looked in the purchreqlineprocessingerror table and it contained the same error that was thrown to the screen. The purchase orders with that error are not int eh Release Approved Purchase Req screen.

This table only contains errors for the purchase requisitions. Per document type different solutions are available for error handling.

Good evening,

If there is no additional information available in the error table, the best solution is to debug the process involved. You could do visual check on the purchase requisition lines involved, but debugging the error message might be the best solution.

Are you able to do the debugging yourself to get some additional information about the error or do you have local resources available for support?

Can you post me the table names or what is way to identify the table names as per the document type ?
