Custom Workflow with multiple stages

Hi guys,

When creating new custom workflow, I have a requirement that it will need to follow several steps. The illustration is like this:
1. The 1st step when submit, the document status will be = InReview
2. When it is approved, document status = InternallyApproved
3. The workflow will still continue to next approver, and when it is approved, document status = 1stStageApproved
4. when it is approved, it will goes to next approver, and when it is approved, document status = OrderConfirmed

My doubt is, will the Workflow put to completed when step 2 succeeded ? means we need to Submit again ? This is the part that I would not expect to behave.

As I understand, part of the Workflow framework, is create WorflowApproval object. And inside this Approval, we have Approve - Deny - Reject - RequestChange, should I change this approval element to follow my business process intention ?

How actually the work on this because currently, when I approved, then the Workitem will be completed, it's like the workflow cycle is done, then we need to submit again.

Thanks

If the users will be interacting with this in the UI, then you can use the custom choice actions...instead of approve/reject, they will have to choose a choice.
You cannot (by default) use the custom actions via any connector, but if they are within the UI anyway, it should give you the ability to progress the workflow down various paths without it interpreting as actual approval.

That said, you should also be able to have several review/approvals in series, but i think the status will just show "in review" - i do not think it will show your stages unless the user clicks through to workflow history.
