Email blocked - stop contact in journey or negative path

Hi,
 
I have created a journey
Start: Status change of a custom entity. (dataverse trigger) 
Step 1:  send email
Step 2: update status of record from custom entity (custom trigger)
 
Problem: I cannot find any way to check if my email is sent or not. If the email is blocked, the journey is still proceeding to step 2. 
Any suggestions?

    You can add a condition action before the second step in the journey.

    But that is only email opened or clicked. There is a main difference between sent/ delivered and opened/clicked. Cannot find anything like sent/ delivered.

    Hi ElineB,
    The conditions of the journey do have limitations.
    Maybe you can create one segment, then you can filter email sent or delivered.
    Then you can use this segment as exit option in the journey:
    As a safeguard, you add a wait period before the last update operation.
