Data Exchange Definition for Debit and Credit

Hi BC Gurus,
 
I'm trying to create a data exchange definition for a bank import but I'm running into an issue. On my bank import csv file I only have debit and credit column, no total amount column. Is there a way in BC to define if the field is debit or a credit and combine them together?
