How to get view details access via security role

Posted on by 73
Hi,
I have a security role through which the user has CRUD access to Cost and shared categories however when i create a cost category and try to go to the shared categories by clicking on view details (screenshot of system admin), i can't see this option via security roles. Which privilege I can use so that user can see view details button?

    Thanks Adis/Nicolaj,
We were applying privileges so it was not working however when we applied following duties, it worked. Thanks for your inputs. Much appreciate.

any duty from the below is enough to grant permission for view details option on non admin security role:

    - Enable expense management process
    - Inquire into expense management reference data
    - View Master entity data for data management
    - Maintain Master entity data for data management

You need to grant at least view access to the form which contains the category ID.
You can identify the privileges/duties and roles by following the guide Adis provided.

In every instance where you need to use the view details functionality, you will need to ensure that the user and security has at least view access to the form you will navigate to when opening the details.

    Hey,

Once you go to Cost categories, through modul or by view details, you can check the security diagnostics, which will give you a list of roles, duties and priviliges.

Another way to do it or in addition to that, if you dont want to give the everything from the privilege, but just the very necessary permissions, you can use the Task recorder.

When the form opens, you stop and save the file when promted

Then go to Security diagnostics for task recordings and upload your file

This is the item you can assign to any privilege, duty or role.

    Hope it helps, Adis
