PowerApps:Business Central Web Services Page not showing in Power Apps

Hi All,

I am trying to use the Business Central (on-premises) connector in PowerApps to access data for an app.

We have exposed a page (Purchase Line) through Business Central Web Services but are currently unable to see it in PowerApps when we click on the Business Central (on-premises) connector.

In fact, the connector always populates the same list of tables under its "choose a table" option, regardless of how many new pages we expose on the Web Service. Any help on this issue?

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

Standard connector is only working with standard APIs. If you want to use custom APIs then you have to create your own custom connector.

I think a blog worth more than 1000 words:

    www.mynavblog.com/.../

If you go through this self-explaining blog (and also this video ), I am pretty sure you will succeed in what you are in need of.

The need of a custom connector associated to custom APIs was already stated in this answer in last September blog

If you take this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cp848e9WBFs  at 38’33”, you have also an explanation on custom connector.

Sadly that method won’t work. You need to create a custom connector. Check out the video from here titled as “Creating Workflows for Dynamics 365 Business Central with Power Automate and Azure Logic Apps”: demiliani.com/.../

Yes the video says Power Automate and you want Powerapps. Well the custom connectors are shared between the two.

Couple of tips not covered in the video. Once you have the connector use the ClearCollect function to get the data into a gallery for example.

Thanks for the response @Josh Anglesea.

I have been able to create the custom connector and have tested it. However, I am unable to use a Collect function to get it into PowerApps.

I get errors when I try collect and only am able to be error free when try ConnectorName.OperationID(). But it shows no data at all. What should I use for the collection and also the items part of the command? Any help?

Advice I’ve seen with this is to have parameters in your custom connector which would make your powerapps formula more like this: ClearCollect(collCustomers,myCustomConnector.GetCustomerItems("1111111-aaaaaaa-22222222-bbbbb", "Production","5e201ae1-88d1-ea11-bb55-000d3a228e0e")). Where my values are tenantid, environmentname and companyid

Link to the video I suggested shows how parameters are added in the custom connector stage.
