Create a Power Automate Flow to email Weekly tasks due in Dynamics 365

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to adjust this workflow template to email out every Monday morning a list of tasks that are due for the week. I think I need to edit something with the date format in the filter query but I can't get it right. It currently sends an email showing tasks that are due for today only.

Do I need to modify the "formatDateTime(utcNow(),'yyyy-MM-dd')" formula in first line the filter query?
Also do I need to edit the second line in the filter query of "formatDateTime(addDays(utcNow(),1),'yyyy-MM-dd')"?
Thank you if you can help me! I so appreciate it.
All the best,
Josh

    Hi Josh,

    1. We only need an "Apply to each" step for List reocrds, but not need for Array.

So remove the first "Apply to each" step.

    2. As mentioned in my answer above, Columns in the "Create HTML table" step should be Automatic. Since we have set the elements in the Array, we directly use the elements in the Array as columns.

    Hi,

You should use Expand Query in CDS to get Owner Full name. Check below links.

    Hi Hao,

My issue has not been fully resolved. I am struggling to get the full name of the user into the table. If I use the common data service steps I cannot use description and other fields because it pulls it in a code format. If I use dynamics steps then I can get everything but the Owner Full Name.

Here is what the result looks like.

I need a clean way to get the fields but also get the full name of the user. Within the dynamics entity the field of "Full Name" is gone so I need to use the CDS and dynamics at the same time in the flow. How can I do this?

    I need help.

    Josh

    Hi Josh,

As Bipin said, please remove the last comma in the "Append to array variable" step.

    Hi,

You should remove last comma from Append to Array variable action to fix this issue.

    Hi Lu Hao,

I am having trouble understanding where to add these steps. Here is a zoomed-out version of the flow I'm using. I cant start using "when a record is selected". I'm already pulling the activities. I just want to add a column to this table that is generated that includes the full name of the owner.

Thank you so much for your help
