inventory value report does not showing warehouse details

Hi,

Inventory Management-->inquiries&reports-->inventory value-->inventory value report

The standard inventory value reports does not showing warehouse field value because in the "Storage Dimension" financial inventory is not enabled.

we have tried to enable it but am not able to edit it. Then we tried to recreate the whole new report but for the data was not wrong. we are using financial date  from Inventtrans table for from date and to date filter. we have relations with Inventsum and Inventrans but that relation not giving Proper values.

is there any other workaround to get the report.

    Hi Ram,

    It is a common pitfall to not pay attention to the Financial inventory setting on the storage dimensions. Indeed, it has impact on the details which are available in the Inventory value report.

    You haven't mentioned what exact details you are looking for. Can you provide the requirement and/or an example of what you are looking for? What actions did you take to "recreate the whole new report"?

    Hi,

    financial inventory field can not be marked afterward. and to mark it will cause some inconstancy with item cost such as negative cost etc. In order to customize such a report, you should also use inventsettlement table.

    Hi,

    i want to show the invent onhand report with group by warehouse,site,itemid and need to show postedqty,financial cost amount,physical value,physical inventory from inventsum table but need to filter those data with InventTrans table financial date field.

    how to achieve this

    Hi,

    on inventtrans table, there is inventdim, you can use this field for inventory dimensions. For cost amount, you should use inventtrans and inventsettlement. You have mentioned that your report is not working properly, can you elaborate more?

    Hi,

    on inventsum table itself am getting all values that needed for report that includes cost amount but we need a date filter using financial date from inventtrans. in inventtrans we have the relation with inventsum on itemid and inventdim id which is not unique. so this way we can give the proper value on the report

    how to use the inventsettlement table to show on hand invent details?

    Hi Ram,

    If you need a report with a date filter, then the InventSum is not the correct table. You then need to sum the InventTrans records up to a certain date. Do you also need the financial cost at a certain day? In that case, you also need to include the InventSettlement details to get the Adjustments up to a certain date. Then also consider the fact that there can be some cost differences if the physical date is later than the financial date (yes, this happens sometimes). It would not be the easiest report to build as a customization. I did a similar report about 10 years ago for the last time and can't remember all full details.
