Intercompany Timesheets

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I have a situation in which I'd like resources to be able to register a time sheet in Company A for Company B (intercompany time sheet functionality does this well) and also have resources from Company B register a time sheet for Company A.  Is this possible?  I've successfully figured out the first part, but when trying to do the reciprocal, I do not see any of the projects from Company A while in Company B and trying to submit a time sheet.

    Hi Pecoradj,

If the suggestion from Ludwig helped you, would you mind to verify his answer? The thread will then get the status 'answered'.

    Hi pecoradj,

If you want to post timesheets 'vice versa' then you have to make sure that the setups in company B are also complete.

I assume that some setups are missing, which prevent you from posting timesheets the other way around.

Please check out the following MS docs sites

    docs.microsoft.com/.../setting-up-and-maintaining-project-management-and-accounting

... and compare the setups that have been made in company A and B.

I guess something 'small' might have been overlooked.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi pecoradj,

Did you set up parameters for intercompany transactions in the Project management and accounting parameters form? Please enable intercompany resource scheduling and timesheets  and add a new borrowing legal entity.

You can then select the target legal entity in the Timesheet lines and select the project from company A.

    Regards,
