Under what circumstances will SETRANGE(Field) not Release the previous filter set using SETRANGE(Field,Value). I am asking as in one section of simple code the second SETRANGE(Field) is not releasing the previous filter.

It could be FILTERGROUP called somewhere above your code

Hi Artur, thanks for the suggestion. As it happened it turned out to be a further action later in the code was incorrect, but the result seemed to indicate that the SETRANGE wasn't working.

SETRANGE should always clear the previous filter of that field.
