Documents from SharePoint not visible inside the CRM

Posted on by 35

Hey guys,

In my CRM we use the standard SharePoint-integration. On one side its CRM 2016 On Premise and on the other SharePoint 2016 On Premise.

At the moment there is the problem that the most users cannot see the documents from SharePoint within the CRM or upload new documents.  But when they use the Button "Open Location" they can see the documents on SharePoint side. Only a few users don't have this problem and the viewing or uploading of documents within the CRM is working fine. There is no recognizable difference between users which can see the documents and theese users which cannot (same rights and the "SharePoint Email Adress"-field is filled out with the correct email-adress).

Which circumstances can cause this behaviour?

I really tested a lot with my colleagues and we already set up the whole Integration again but it didnt help.

Do you have any ideas?

Kind regards!

RE: Documents from SharePoint not visible inside the CRM

We are experiencing almost the same issue. We have integrated Dynamics 365 on-premises (8.2.2.112) with SharePoint 2016 on-premises using server-side synchronization. The documents can be seen by everyone except for two users. The security roles assigned to these users grant them read privileges on the document locations. The SharePoint Adress field in the user record is filled out correctly. When they open the location in SharePoint, they can see all the documents.

When the users try to create documents in the document location via CRM, they get an error saying "authentication failed". There is no detailed log file. When they try to upload or create the documents directly on the sharepoint site, it works perfectly fine.

    Any ideas?
