Posted on by 2,397

Hi, can we have duplicate fields in a form? I have a dropdown list, and I want to put 3 the same dropdown list, so that user can have choices, each dropdown list has a lot options. then, anyway to achieve that without duplicated fields?

You can create a Global optionset.

Create separate three optionsets for this entity to be used in the form.

When creating the optionsets for the entity you have to refer the existing global optionset (created above)

But all would have the same value only.

If you need to store different value then you will have to create different fields (name).

When you are on form editor, you can see Field Explorer on the right pane. If you uncheck "Only show unused fields" checkbox then you can drag and drop fields multiple times.

Edit: all can only serve for a single attribute. So you should have separate attributes for each data item. You can use global option set to make maintenance easier if the option values are always the same for each attribute.
