Hi all,
I have generated a report Accured Purchase AX 2012 R3 . It is successfully generated then we save the report in excel. It's saved but when trying to open the excel, we got below error.
Replaced Part: /xl/worksheets/sheet1.xml part with XML error. Illegal xml character. Line 163, column 10296.
Kindly let me know how will resolve this.

The error is not directly related to ax. If there is no one who encounters the same error, you don't have much chance to find a solution here. It would be useful to have a look at the ms office sites.

In the report, we have one column item name. That is in to Chinese character. I believe some special character is there and that is not recognized by excel. t

Obviously it's a character issue. If there is a certain character, changing it is a solution, but if there is no certain suspect and since you cannot change all the characters, you can find the troublesome character by examining the office side.
But as I said, it is very unlikely that you will find that information in this cominity.
Have you tried the instructions in the link I sent? I recommend you to try especially with utf-8.
